
Electrical Engineer: Power & PCB Design

Design and develop efficient PCBs, integrate sensors, and optimize power systems to enhance RoboTUM's robotics projects.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Design & develop PCBs for motor drivers, sensor integration, and power distribution.
Implement battery management systems (BMS) for energy-efficient operation.
Select and integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, weight sensors, etc.).
Optimize power efficiency for longer autonomous operation.
Troubleshoot hardware failures and ensure electrical safety.
General Responsibilities: Attend weekly/bi-weekly departmental & organizational RoboTUM meetings, as well as occasional spontaneous meetings as needed. Answer emails and messages within 24 hours (be comfortable using Slack). Adhere to RoboTUM policies and be willing to help when the team needs you

Minimum Qualifications
Basic experience in circuit design & power systems
Familiarity with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or STM32 for sensor integration
Ideal Qualifications
Experience in PCB design (KiCad, Altium, Eagle)
Knowledge of battery management, DC motor control, and embedded power systems
Strong understanding of electrical safety & EMI/EMC considerations.
