Responsibilities & Tasks
Analyze market trends and potential applications for humanoid robotics in research, industry, and commercial sectors.
Identify competitions, grants, and funding opportunities that align with RoboTUM’s humanoid project.
Scout for potential industry partners and sponsors, building relationships for future collaboration.
Conduct feasibility studies on different application areas, evaluating technical and economic viability.
Collaborate with the ER and Grant Application Teams to enhance RoboTUM’s external engagement and funding potential.
Monitor competitor projects and industry advancements to ensure RoboTUM remains at the cutting edge. Develop reports and presentations summarizing research findings, strategies, and recommendations.
Support the team in developing a long-term roadmap for potential commercialization or scaling opportunities.
General Responsibilities: Attend weekly/bi-weekly departmental & organizational RoboTUM meetings, as well as occasional spontaneous meetings as needed. Answer emails and messages within 24 hours (be comfortable using Slack). Adhere to RoboTUM policies and be willing to help when the team needs you

Minimum Qualifications
Interest in robotics, technology commercialization, and market research.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Basic understanding of the robotics industry and emerging trends.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with different teams and presenting findings.
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities and making strategic recommendations.
Ideal Qualifications
Background in business development, entrepreneurship, or technology management.
Familiarity with grant applications and funding processes in academia and industry.
Experience with competitive landscape analysis and benchmarking methodologies.
Understanding of startup ecosystems and go-to-market strategies for robotics companies.
Knowledge of robotics competitions, industry consortia, and regulatory environments.
Prior experience with writing research reports, white papers, or business proposals.
